What You'll Do
As a Commercial Sales Executive, you'll be at the forefront of driving growth for one of the most recognized names in electronic security. You'll own your territory, build strategic relationships, and deliver innovative, end-to-end security solutions that protect what matters most to our customers.
In this role, you are more than a sales professional—you're a trusted advisor and brand ambassador, bringing the Johnson Controls Security story to life and reinforcing our position as a market leader.
Key responsibilities include:
Drive new business development by identifying, engaging, and closing commercial opportunities within your territory
Expand existing accounts through upselling, cross-selling, and system upgrades
Convert legacy and competitor systems into Johnson Controls Security solutions
Renew and strengthen customer agreements to ensure long-term retention and satisfaction
Build and maintain a strong pipeline using creative prospecting and referral strategies
Develop and execute strategic call plans and territory management practices
Partner with customers post-installation to ensure expectations are met and relationships are strengthened
Maintain expert-level knowledge of our security technologies, services, and industry trends

What We're Looking For
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent
Proven ability to communicate effectively and influence decision-makers, including senior executives
Strong time management skills with the ability to operate independently
Willingness to travel locally within your assigned territory
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree
2+ years of successful B2B sales experience in security, IT, or technology solutions
Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $53,000 - $75,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) This role also offers a competitive Sales Incentive Plan that will take into account volume and margin on a project, quarterly, and annual basis. This position includes a competitive benefits package. The posted salary range reflects the target compensation for this role.
